Avaritia Americano=American Greed

Liz Claman from CNBCs Morning Call came on the show today to talk about a new show called American Greed. This six part special series with host Stacy Keach covers some nefarious thieving seven deadly sin perpetrators. I told Liz that I take umbrage to the use of the word American Greed as it is a human condition and not exclusive to America. On the flip side of any of the 7 deadly sins is a virtue: American Charity in this case would not sell well endless it was running on ETWN . Dante refereed to greed as avaritia in the Inferno.

Interesting point that it's not just Americans who want more of everything.

I learned about Ponzi schemes when I read Rudy Maxa's book about Glenn Turner. That guy was a sleazy, greedy huckster.
